For a while...

I thought I felt you passing by
You brought happiness into my world
For a while
Perhaps I was dreaming
For I feel your presence wanting now
The warmth of your words
And treasured memories
Will always make me smile…

Poem - Dianne Dawes -
For dear C.B.

Thank you dear Marty for your kind words and wishes for myself and Matthew; he will be undergoing more surgery within the month but he is relatively healthier than before.
Yes sometimes a very special person comes into our lives, not in person in my case but through emails and poems. He is French and though there was never any chance of romance on his side, he has enriched my life in so many ways. He possesses a great knowledge of the world, of art, poetry, film, theatre and science to name a few of his accolades and he is a kind and sensitive man. I hear from him occasionally if I am fortunate but not lately. If I don't my life is still richer from his presence and kindness.
Happy week dear Marty!
bisous

Thank you dear C.B., it is comforting and lovely to know that you are still here, a little glimmer of light is shining through the shadows.
I haven't posted any poems for a while, sadly I have no inspiration but I haven't abandoned you.
I have had two surgeries for a malignant bcc on my cheek just beneath my eye. Thank goodness I had a wonderful surgeon as the cancer is now gone and the 14mm scar barely noticeable and it has only been a week since the sutures were removed.
I do hope you are well and you're enjoying many adventures on your motorbike? I never know where you are these days but I think of you each day.
Please take care dear one, life is not always kind but it's the only one we have.
Much love, your friend Dianne. xoxoxo. ♥️

Thank you dear Yannis and Vania for your very sweet words. I am not much of a poet lately, of any of those lovely compliments you have paid me. The truth is I am a little lost and cannot find my way back to where I left off, I cannot find any words to write my poems. It is really sad.
I love you both too for the beautiful, giving people that you are, thank you for thinking of me.
Much love , Dianne ♥️
